The ASLA Oklahoma Chapter recognizes the outstanding contributions of its members and supporters who go above and beyond in their dedication to the profession and others. These awards celebrate achievements in leadership, collaboration, education, and service. Deadline to submit a nomination is October 10.
Emerging Professional Award
This award recognizes a landscape architect who has been actively participating in the profession (licensed or non-licensed) for less than ten years and has demonstrated outstanding leadership in community service, education, design, and/or service to the profession through participation in the local chapter and completion of high-quality professional work.
Impact Award
This award recognizes individuals who exemplify the fundamental importance of education in advancing the art of design and stewardship of the environment, thereby elevating the value of landscape architecture in the built environment. Honorees may include, but are not limited to, faculty, authors, speakers, workshop hosts, and mentors who have demonstrated a lasting impact on students, professionals, or the public. Any ASLA OK member in good standing may nominate an honoree for this category.
Collaborative Excellence Award
This award honors an individual or firm from an allied discipline - such as an architect, civil engineer, community leader, or contractor - who has gone above and beyond their professional responsibilities to advocate for and advance the profession of landscape architecture. Recipients of this award have demonstrated a clear and impactful commitment to our profession, whether through promoting its value to a client, ensuring the successful implementation of a landscape architectural design, or championing policy that supports the field.
Distinguished Professional Award
This award recognizes professional landscape architects and designers who demonstrate remarkable leadership in community service, education, design, and/or service to the profession. Honorees show dedication to both the community and the profession through active participation in the local chapter and completion of exemplary professional work. Any ASLA OK member registered in the State of Oklahoma is eligible to be nominated by an ASLA OK member in good standing.
Legacy in Landscape Architecture Award
The ASLA OK Legacy Award recognizes an individual who has made a lasting impact on the profession and demonstrated sustained dedication to the community. Honorees have advanced awareness of landscape architecture and inspired others through a career of service and leadership. It is recommended that nominees have been active participants in the profession for at least 20 years. Any ASLA OK member in good standing may submit a nomination.
Challenge coin design competition
The ASLA Oklahoma Chapter invites submissions for the design of our official chapter Coin. The winning designer will receive free entry to the OKASLA Annual Conference this year!
Required Design Elements:
- Must include the text "American Society of Landscape Architects" or "ASLA", and "Oklahoma Chapter" or "OK".
- Do not include a year in the design.
- The design must be two-sided for a 1.5" diameter coin, with a maximum of five colors.
- The design should reflect our mission to empower the professional community and create engaged, informed, and enriched communities.
How to Submit:
- Designs should be submitted as a 300 DPI PNG, JPG, or PDF file to [email protected].
- Submission deadline is September 26, 2025, at 5:00 pm.
